The Art Barn houses approximately 3,000 molds for casting earthenware ceramics, two pouring tables, two large kilns plus a small one for firing specialty glazes or small orders, a painting room, and gift shop where the finished ware is sold. The Sisters are Certified Duncan Ceramic Teachers, and periodically take classes to keep up to date on newer ceramic products and techniques.
The Sisters have been making ceramics for over 40 years, starting out with a few homemade molds. Now the molds used are primarly bought from the mold companies, and feature nativity sets of various sizes and styles, Christmas tree ornaments and many other Christmas items, religous statues, horse figurines, and a variety of garden and houseware accessories.
Although the Sisters primarily sell finished ware in the gift shop, you may also purchase greenware, bisque, and supplies. A new feature of the gift shop is the "paint your own souvenir" area, where you may purchase bisqueware and paint it here. Classes are occasionally given; check the Events page for an upcoming schedule, or contact us to arrange a special group class.
